Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia
Left Glenorie for wild weekend ride to cover a number of well reputed bike roads on the central north coast. Up to Newcastle, then off main highway to Bucketts Way. Nice ride up to Goulborn. Passed by Riverwood Downs where family has stayed 15 years ago! Also passed by Goulborn Hospital were we learned about bullrout-stonefish poisons…..
Nice lunch in Goulborn, whole town filled with bikes. Big rally nearby plus usual weekend scracthers. Got very hot on rest of ride out to coast at Taree. We were planning to go a bit further, but both wiped by heat so stopped at v.nice place in Port Macquarie for the night.
Looking forword to Oxley Highway run across the ranges tomorrow first thing.
