On The Road Day 16 — Sedona, Arizona, United States

Sedona, Arizona, United States

Drove only 10 miles today.

Started the day with a jeep ride out to Soldiers Pass.  Our guide, Flint, picked us up at the resort.
And then we were off to Soldiers Pass.  Each jeep company has exclusive rights to the areas that they take you.  So even though this could not compare to the hummer ride, it was an area that I have never been to.  ] Like all of the other tours I have been on around here, the area was very nice.  Flint told us he is Comanche and originally from Oklahoma.  A small town by the name of Anadarko.  I asked him if he had ever seen the TV show Saving Grace because the main character is Grace Hanadarko and the show takes place in Oklahoma.  He said he had not but he would look for it.  He was a very good driver and just full of information on the area we went to.  But, it was tame compared to the hummer.

After getting back to the resort I drove in to Tlaquepaque for lunch at the Oak Creek Brew Pub.  Good food.  And now I am back at the resort packing up all of my stuff.  Yes, I was supposed to be here until Friday morning.  But I decided to leave tomorrow instead.  Between last year and this trip I have seen everything I want to in Sedona and since I have so much left on my list to see and do it didn’t make sense to just sit around tomorrow when I could be continuing my adventure.  So bright and early tomorrow I am off to Page, AZ to see Antelope Canyon.

Till tomorrow night.
